The Final Song Choice

1. The target audience of our final song choice is teenagers and young adults who are interested in indy style music.

2. Indy is a popular type of music and therefore has a large fanbase. Young children and middle aged to o.a.p's may not appreciate the song as much.

3. This style of music in general has a more grungey feel to it, usually using darker colours with slow motion parts. The video's are more focused on the music than the artist gaining fame so a lot of band shots are used. They are not all about creating a good image for the artists.

4. Our video is going to be narrative and performance. The story ideas involve a man and a woman who are in a relationship that's going well but then he leaves for university. The long distance relationship proves to be tough and not working. When the man comes home to surprise his girlfriend she is in bed with another man. The main male then loses his temper and trashes her house and leaves. The video is also narrated by two lead singers (one male, one female) and lots of band shots shown towards the end.

5. There is a main story male who is in love with the main story female. Other characters include the lead male singer and female singer. There is 2 other members of the band who are shown in the band shots. Also, there is the man who is found in the main story female's bed. Some extra's are used in the video as well.

6. Our music video will be filmed in various different locations including a local park, a bus stop, on the train, train station, in the male's and female's bedroom, pub, and other public places.

7. The music video will be shown by such institutions as MTV Rocks, Kerrang, Lava, Scuzz and other channels who play Indy music. Radio station's like XFM, Kerrang and more mainstream station's like Radio 1 and Capital may play the song.

8. Music video's are more popular than ever and accessability has been greatly improved over the years as channels provide video's for niche audience's which has meant a large increase in the number of music channels. Music video's can now be easily viewed at anytime on the internet, both on the computer and on phones. Different websites have also made it possible to upload your own video's which has shown a large increase of people prodcuing their own version of music video's for songs that they like.

The Media Time Table

This was created so that we knew when each member of the production group had a free lesson so we could meet up and get more planning done or even some filming.
